How buying & bidding work

Timed auctions + Buy It Now

On items with an auction, bid from the starting price shown, or skip the bidding and purchase at the Buy It Now price. Buy It Now stays available after bids are placed.

One unit per auction. Set a private maximum and we bid only enough to lead, up to your limit. Equal maximums favor the one accepted first. Maximums cannot exceed the Buy It Now price. The highest accepted bid at closing wins unless the last available unit is purchased first.

Each accepted bid adds 3 minutes when 10 minutes or less remain. The extra time is added to the current closing time. Bids placed with more than 10 minutes remaining do not extend the auction.

With a $10 starting bid and $1 increments, a $50 maximum starts at $10. If another buyer sets a $20 maximum, your bid becomes $21. Raising your maximum while leading does not raise the price or extend the timer.

Payment due now. Failure to pay will result in the order being canceled and your account suspended.

One auction per SKU runs at a time. Remaining stock stays available for Buy It Now after a win. Once the winner pays, the next unit starts a new auction if stock remains. Your earlier bids and orders stay in My Bids & Orders. The owner can relist auctions that ended without bids.

Food remains Buy It Now. Wholesale pallets may offer an auction when shown on the listing.

How bidding, payment & pickup work

Sign in to bid. A bid is a commitment to buy if you win. Pay winning bids plus applicable sales tax through Square, then collect at the location shown on the item within seven days. Check My bids for your result and payment link.

Adding an item to a cart does not complete a purchase. Existing cart or payment reservations may temporarily pause bidding or delay the final result. If they expire, availability returns. Once the last unit is purchased, the remaining bids do not win.
